Find of the Month

This is a monthly meeting activity to see the finds of others and learn about their experiences. At the end of the year there is a "Find of the Year" contest. All Monthly points are totaled and Prizes are awarded.

At the beginning of the meeting people place there items into labeled containers for everyone to view. During the refreshment break members complete a pre-printed form with their vote for 1st and 2nd place in each catagory. These are totaled to determine the placement of all entries.

When the 1st and 2nd place winners names for each catagory are read the person is asked to tell about their find. Here are the rules.

	1. Contests are for club members only. 2. You must be at the meeting to enter. 3. Items must be found with a detector. 4. Items (for each category) must be from a single hole. 5. Items must have been found since the last contest. 6. Categories: a. Non Silver-gold Coins b. Silver-gold Coins; c. Jewelry, including watches; and d. Misc, all other items, including tokens. 7. Scoring is based on 3 points for a first place vote, 2 points for a second placed vote and 5 points for entering. 8. Vote only once for any item. Do not give an item both your first and second place votes. 9. Seeded coins from competition hunts are NOT eligible.
